A Personal Mission. A Shared Future.
NorthBound started from a very personal place. When I was 11 years old, I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, which led to the amputation of my leg. That experience changed my life, but it never defined what I was capable of. It taught me early that people often make assumptions before they understand the person in front of them. It also taught me the power of having people believe in you, challenge you, support you, and see something in you before you fully see it in yourself.

I have always built my career around hard work, service, and a genuine desire to help people find stability, opportunity, and a better path forward. Over the years, I have worked alongside people who show up every day, take pride in difficult work, and prove through their consistency that doing things the right way still matters. A lot of that work happens behind the scenes, but it matters. It keeps buildings operating, supports communities, and gives people the chance to build something steady for themselves and their families.
I started NorthBound Abilities because I believe people deserve more than encouragement. They deserve opportunity. They deserve structure, training, accountability, and a real path to succeed. This organization is not about charity, sympathy, or lowering expectations. It is about raising the standard while making sure people have the support to reach it; we believe ability-not disability-determines success. It is about proving that people with disabilities can do meaningful work, lead with pride, grow in their careers, and be valued for what they bring to the table.
NorthBound is here with purpose. We are here to do excellent work, create real opportunity, and build something that lasts. I am grateful for every person, partner, board member, and supporter who has helped bring this mission to life. NorthBound is personal to me, but it is not just my story. It belongs to every person who has ever been underestimated, every worker looking for a real chance, and every community that believes people should be seen for their ability, their effort, and their potential.
